I purchased this for my friend who had just lost her mom at 94. It is well made and just as beautiful as its original inspiration for double the price. It was just the right sentiment for the loss of an older parent. A lovely reminder of a life well lived.
While this is a really cute figurine, the coloring leaves something to be desired. Rather than the more muted tones I expected, they are bolder/harsher, making the coloring look more childish and less professional¡cheaper. It¡¯s unfortunate because it¡¯s such a cute design otherwise, but the color tone really changes everything in a negative way.
Other than that though, the design itself is very nice. The feel of the figurine is smooth without any rough edges, and the painting (for the most part) is neatly done). I like that there are no facial details, giving it a simpler look. It stands easily and is stable.
Very sweet and for those horse loving girls this will be a treasure for sure. It looks carved but I think that is just how it was molded. It is nice and would have been a five but I think I would like it more if there was more detail and the horse had more variation in color.
Still love it and think it will be a perfect gift for my great niece to remember her summer visit at her great Aunt’s horse camp!!
